How to Get From the Airport to Your Hotel

What's most practical depends on where you stay. At a nearby hotel, the shuttle or an authorized taxi gets you there in minutes. Here are reference costs, always in US dollars:
Official JUTA taxi: Budget $35 USD to a hotel in Montego Bay. They accept cash in US dollars.
Prebooked private transfer: Some companies offer a flat fee of $15 for up to 4 passengers to Hip Strip hotels, with a meeting point at Counter 4 at the airport.
Hotel shuttle: Usually the simplest option at smaller hotels, like Toby's $15 shuttle.
To Negril: A private transfer costs between $70 and $120 USD, and a shared shuttle costs $50 USD per person.
Tips: The usual is 10% to 15% of the fare, or $5 to $10 USD on long rides.
